In Featured Work, News, Student Demo Reels

somerset-isle-dockTom Meltser’s environment art demo reel is an exquisite piece that captures the beauty and spirit of the fishing docks in Chew Jetty, Malaysia. It’s based on various works by the artist, Chong FeiGiap. He also drew inspiration from the surrounding parks and neighborhoods by Think Tank.

Tom is originally from Israel and came here at the beginning of the year to take our mentorship program. He had already completed a 3D animation course back home but was looking for an opportunity to refine his skills and work towards focusing on environment art for video games. What appealed to him most about our mentorship was the ability to have one-on-one sessions with an industry mentor. He found it to be a phenomenal experience where he could expand his skill set and produce a professional showreel. Tom has already been garnering attention since finishing his Somerset Isle project. It was recently featured in the latest issue of 3D World Magazine!

Do you aspire to make environment art like this? If so, then be sure to check out our programs page to see what we offer and which option is the right one for you. The end result of all our programs (on-campus, online and mentorship) is a top-notch demo reel that puts you in the job placement conversation.
