Learning the fundamentals of CG at Think Tank is something else. In just 16 weeks, students grasp the basics of 3D Modeling, Texturing and Lighting as they work towards developing a fully rendered 3D asset based on an original 2D concept. The final result is the Term 1 Final Project- and for the amount of time students are given to learn the software and produce these assets- these projects have become a stepping stone to more advanced eduction and the intense pace of working in the CG industry.

About the contest

Term 1 Final Projects that are properly rendered and submitted in time are put into one of four groups based on cohort size (3 for Think Tank Online, 1 for Campus ). Next, voting is done by a panel of Think Tank Faculty, Staff and Industry colleagues. Once the judging is complete, the winners are announced and the following scholarship prizes are given out:

1st Place: $3,500 CAD
2nd Place: $1,000 CAD
3rd Place: $500 CAD
